Brian-Kyles’ Director of Operations Shaun Keefer and Account Manager Bev Holt Geek Out Over the Top Landscaping Trends of 2022
While it’s wintertime in Northeast Ohio, it’s always greener at the Great Big Home + Garden Show at the I-X Center in Cleveland. This massive annual event features something for everyone and it’s easy to see why Shaun and Bev enjoy checking out the event each year.
Shaun Keefer, Director of Operations at Brian-Kyles Landscapes of Distinction and Bev Holt, Account Manager talks about the Great Big Home + Garden Show 2022.
The personal favorite for Brian-Kyles’ Account Manager Bev Holt is the grills. “My favorite thing is I love looking at all the new grills they have out and the cooking areas that they’re doing. That’s what I live for” Bev said. Shaun added his favorite thing about the show “Just walking in and seeing green. We haven’t seen green and color in months. We’ve been out fighting snow and living in a snow globe here in Ohio. To see green, it gives you a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel.”
The hot trends of 2022 are more of a continuation from 2020 and 2021. Outdoor living spaces including patios and fire features such as fireplaces and fire pits continue to be a must-add outdoor addition for homeowners. Outdoor kitchens also continue to grow in popularity, and it makes sense. People love to grill and having an outdoor kitchen can provide the ultimate grilling experience. Brian-Kyles expects all these outdoor trends to continue for several years to come.
One of the must-see showcases is the Ohio Landscape’s Association’s (OLA) garden. Every year, landscaping companies from all around Ohio work together and construct one of the best presentations at the show and 2022 is no different. The OLA’s exhibit included a patio with stone columns, an outdoor fireplace, a mix of pine and flowering trees, topped off with a splash of color from flowers in a mulch bed.
The 2022 Great Big Home + Garden Show continues through February 13, 2022, at the I-X Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
